Carmel-by-the-sea is THE dog loving city. This city offers many dog friendly hotels to make your stay with your pup more comfortable.  As a general rule all hotels ask that you let them know you are traveling with a dog.  And you are responsible for picking up pet waste and following instructions for designating areas.
